Hey, nice to see everybody here,yeah so ok we'll start our
little broadcast here. We're doing simultaneous broadcasting
on google hangouts and just also here.
So why don't we start out with our program, which should be
kind of interesting, its a little different I was just kind of
inspirired this morning, theres a movie out its getting alot
of hits on google, in other words people are interested in it.
Its kind of little bit like that movie the Avatar, you know
that movie Avatar in a sense it has some divine reality in it,
and this is what attracts people to such movie. Although in
this movie as well as the other one Avatar theres a fair
amount of violence in it, thats just kind of just the way it
is in these times, they put violence together with some truth,
its very simlar with the Bhagavad-Gita theres alot of violence
fighting and killing and all of this with alot of truth in it,
so we got to be a little bit like, sifting, look for the Truth
and all this. As a matter of fact the more realisation about
Truth that we get, the more spiritually elevated, we become
indifferent to these kinds of things. Its very similar to this
lady Lucy, in the movie happened to her, as she was growing in
consciousness, from they used the plot she got some of this
experimental drugs into her system and her consiousness
started to expand and her brain capacity started to elevate.
And there was a certain point of expansion where she losthuman
type feeling, of the way things, the sentiments, she saw
things more from an impartial point of few even her own pain
and all of thisshe said she didn't, I dont even notice that
now. So anyway its kind of an interesting concept which
reflects some true reality but not exactly is the way it is
and there was also another one out just rceently with Johnny
Depp which also had a similar idea, OK. So just to give the
basis of this, she basically gets this experiemtnal drug in
her body and her brain capacity keeps increasing more and more
and more and she has these different abiltities that come from
that so ultimately she comes to the point of using 100% of her
brain capacity see and then becomes all prevasive see this is
the idea, this is a semblance of the Truth. See she becomes
all pervasive and a matter of fact the way they portray it was
interestingly they have a cell phone there and one of the
police men was looking for he he developed a bit of attraction
and a bond with this Lucy so he was looking for here where is
she!? where is she!? where is she? And then a message pops up
of the cell phone saying, I am everywhere. see, Well this is a
nice idea, many people they would like to be God , because the
scriptures think that the Supreme being is all-pervasive, His
eyes are everywhere and He sees everything and all that.

Raganuga Verses Vaidi Bhakti

MH: OK why don't we have a bit of this ah, since devotees are sepping onto the platform of Raganuga Bhakti, just a bit of practical knowledge from Vishvanath Chakravarti Thakur, what can you expect on this platform of spontaneous devotional service. So
'in this connection Sri Krishna has spoken to Uddhava, he Uddhava says, if one simply takes up the practice of the religion devotion in the matter of hearing and chanting about me. Even if there is some defect or omission of some of the limbs of Bhakti there is no harm in this, because this devotional service is completely transcendental and absolute. Therefore in no way in any shape or form is there any way of it perishing because this religion has been established by me in affinity with those devotees who no material motivations.'
GH: You know this is very wonderful verse, God that explains what we are doing to a tee. You notice that nobody, everyone who has left our temple of the heart has had some material motivation because this path is the religion of devotion and its so funny, its a simple one but if you just hear without material motivation and you just want to hear and chant just because you like to do what Krishna did. Thats all he wants to do he just wants to relish his association with his devotees. Then you can walk this path.
MV: Thats an important point also, Krishna says even if there is some omision or defect of some of the limbs of Bhakti, so thats what alot of devotees tend to do yo9u know if its not, they try to come to Raganuga Bhakti but if its not in line with what they know from Vaidi Bhakti they cant go on see? Because this the religion of devotion in the matter of hearing and chanting.
GH: Oh I love you Vishvanath Chakravarti man I am tuned, Im tuned in to that fork, we were talking about tuning into. Wow you're actually preaching that yes.
MV: So he's shed a little light in the difference between Vaidi Bhakti and Raganuga Bhakti he says:

See that confirms it, its just two kinds of Bhakti, if your eagerness doesn't go beyond the rules of the scriptures then you don't qualify for this level of Raganuga Bhakti, not that the devotee will make a point to go against the Vaidi Bhakti. But if the mood is not proper for this sentiment then he may neglect some limbs of Bhakti right. Like yourself? You weren't so much into going to the morning program, you are more into reading Chaitanya Charitamrita. But one that has this spontaneous attraction...
GH: Yeah you know, I run into this every day with the devotees here practically. Even where I live they're all looking at me "Gaura Hari, we never see you coming to the temple" they're all dressed up in the morning, they even they get up later than me. They're kinda scratching their heads, they're Brahmins and how does this guy get up at two O clock and he's chanting like you wont believe and he's dancing like a madman and we can barely get up but how come he dosn't go to a program like us? and people everyday they're concerned Gaurahari we never see you at the temple what are you doing? I say well I have a program here, they look at it like it's funny thats not right you're omiting things. I also start to wonder and I omiting is this right? But this confirms it cause thats what I just feel.

GH: Yeah not only hearing, you gotta see it, you gotta actually see this demonstrated in the world....You see this is what was happening 500 years ago, people at first when they saw it they thought it was weird shouldn't do it but Lord Chaitanya and his men they were just naurally going down the street in happiness and chanting. At first it created alot of disturbance but then they thought wow this is great and became eager for it. You know it's happening around here, you Im going around, I have to use my example because you gotta use your example, Im going around Maypur chanting with my little friend here and people think its weird but these shopkeepers are really attracted, 'oh man come to my shop and lets chant and Oh I love this mood' Cause they have never really seen anything like this.
MV: Niyananda is known to be the deliverer of the Merchant class hes probably doing that also
GH: Thats so funny because the Merchant himself says "God this is so Avadutta" now he doesn't know I have all these titles here hes saying "This is so Avadutta, this is what all the Avadutta's do" And he doesn't know that I actually took a title (laughter). So its so funny, see they gotta see the Avadutta thing. See dancing around Maypur they think its a little weird because nobody's doing it, they are all like herds of cows just going down the track everything is organised its like a program and they got this guy is just completely out of the program. You know going around dancing and singing from his heart with all these lovely melodies and looking around, I should take a video you wouldn't believe it. And I love it man because I can just be myself. Thats so great reading that because thats how it is, that will help the devotees understand whats happening because its not off track. We're practicing the religion of devotion, there's a point where you are chanting from your heart see and its not like a program you know its very fluid, like Meena was saying with Prabhupadaq it was very fluid. If Love finds you worthy

GH: Its not from doing Vaidi Bhakti, and Sadhana Bhakti, that one can worship Krishna in Vrndavana but you have the Rasa devotion. to have the Rasa. Its through the devotees, its through the devotees, Its through the devotees, who are engaged in chanting the holy names, and fame , and pastimes, and qualities and characteristics of that Krishna in great devotional ecstasy. I repeat it so much because people are, here even I repeat it, people are a little bit dull. People don't get it, 'all I need is Prabhupadas books for the next 10,000 years' and their hearts are dry and parched. Because they don't understand those books, its not about just having them on the shelf or just reading them superficially, its about understanding what the contents are, that's what we're describing. By the mercy of Prabhupada. You do this, you understand these things, I've given you so much now you give it to your brothers, now you go and share. Whoever accepts, whoever accepts this is true this is real you know this is not full of motives and cheating and all that, Oh they will be blessed with this Rasa. If thats all they want, thats the only thing you will get here. If they want want anything else, there will be alot of pain, very painful but thats the baptism no pain no gain. Right Sachi?
Sachi: Right, thats right. Ive had my share of pain, Ive also had my share of blessings too.
GH: When I feel my pain in my heart, which is rare these days because it has transformed, but in the beginning you feel this pain from being around this fire so just to set a warning don't think it is always going to be Blissful but when you feel this burning this stuff burning up just count your blessings because you are just going to through to another level of purification, of purity, of bliss, because youre going to be able to relish the Lord even more. So thats why I say these things if that is happening sometimes don't think it is bad its wonderful this is the Baptism by fire. You know John said I'm just throwing water over its nothing you follow the rules you do all of that but there is someone who is coming that is going to Baptise by fire and the spirit. See here you get the fire, and the spirit. That is the work temple of the heart has to do, so anybody who can understand, have this process that we are trying to teach the you'll be able to take advantage of it. Cause if you get the fire and you get things burning up that means you are going to taste this devotional Rasa even more. If thats what you really want, I don't really have much else I can give you.
Sachi: Sometimes we might want it and sometimes we might not want it, and we want that material stuff, but we must want the devotional enough to keep us here. That's my situation.
GH: Yeah well that's the mix thing, and thats OK. Who's so pure hearted? even Jesus he had people who were mixed, we're all mixed. The spirit has somehow or other adopted us all. Who's qualified? Im not qualified, you think Im qualified, Im not qualified Im the worst of the lot, but the Lord comes and he's doing his miracle with us, that's all I know. If we come here we can feel more humbled, in the right mood, praying for that mercy and used and feel more love. Hm thats kind of all I'm here for, Thats kinda what I want, so if you're happy with that and being a servant. Actually we're just pleasing the Lord of the heart.
Meena: Its a science, we're dealing with different types of energy the Lords energies are multifarious so. The devotional energy is, we're trying to make contact with the devotional energy.
GH: See one guys trying to understand what we're doing here and he says "Oh I see, you're a specialist". Thats it, this Temple of the Heart preaching is specialising in, getting the devotional potency and giving it to others. Its a process you can not understand this process unless you meet devotees who have gone through the process and are on the devotional platform and are experienced in it. Noone can teach you this, you can have a Guru with a big title like this, but if they're not on the devotional platform, went through the fire so many things to get where they're actually there, you can not learn this science. You can read the books and everything, but you will have to meet a living example. You can not teach Raganuga Bhakti without practicing it yourself, and practicing on this level means tasting it, tasting the woes of it sometimes. And you know why we have that , everyone should have that Kahil Gibrams poem right on your wall, 'if Love finds you worthy, it will caress your tenderous branches and descend to your roots and shake them from there clinging to the ground." So thats what love does to you, so you can become a fragment of life, in other words you know who you are, a servant of the Lord. You're used by the Lord, but if you just want Loves caressing passed out of loves.. ..well you will not cry your deepest tears or laugh your deepest laughter, see thats the devotees. What we're teaching here is so rare and I don't think there is another person on the planet who can teach like this, I haven't seen him, if you find lets us know and let us all hang out, we might learn something. (laughter) I sometimes wish I would just stop boasting. You gotta understand Lord Chaitanya he had that side, I think if you hear enough of it and you start to take a look at the Lila then you have to laugh at the Lord who is doing this, you he is boasting. You know when he was, he was in that mood, this audacious, it seemed like he is puffed up or something.

Experiencing the full nature of God

GH: Yeah, ok go ahead
Meena: 'There is a great increase.. ..in mellow of the unwented conjugal mood, such love is found nowhere but in Vraja. This mood is unbounded in the Damsels of Vraja, but among them it finds it's perfection through Sri Radha. Her pure mature love surpasses that of all others, her love is the cause of Krishna tasting the sweetness of the conjugal relationship. Therefore Lord Gauranga, who is Sri Hari himself, accepted the sentiments of Radha, and thus forfilled his own desires.'
GH: You know, this is a very deep thing. This is one of the realisations that were coming, it's like see Radha is the cause of Krishna tasting that Rasa so we see the Lila externally manifest, yet Krishna, to taste that Rasa, actually internally has to have a qualified devotee to do it. Because if the devotees not interested in that Rasa then Krishna cannot taste it. Because where is Krishna and Radharani? In the heart, just like in everybody else. So for Krishna to find such a perfect place and receptacle, is Radharani, because he tastes that Rasa in her heart. See, also externally too but if he doesn't have a qualified person who has that desire to worship him like that in the conjugal mellow, in its most mature stage, he's out he's out of it see he needs a qualified person and Radharani is the most qualified. So he tastes it both places, one is in the heart, and one is in the Lila which he shows externally. So you see how qualified that person has to have to give Krishna pleasure? In the heart of the devotee like this see that's you know she, its very qualified, and the strength of her love you know that she is able to, her particular love is conjugal in it's most mature phase. So that's why she is considered the best devotee, she gives Krishna the most pleasure because of her mature level of devotion and love. In her own heart because that's where she resides you know he is tasting it there to. ...Just wanted to throw that out.
Meena: Krishnadas says that this love is unbounded in the damsels of Vraja, but among them it finds its perfection in Sri Radha. So they all have that mood.
GH: Yeah they have that mood but it is mature in her. Thats why her love is mature in the sense that, the ecstatic symptoms and everything is like, they are not showing that kind of ecstacy on the other gopis. Just like on Ramananda Roy and Swarupa Damodara couldn't exhibit the ecstasy of Lord Chaitanya. Because it was like Radharani was right there. It was phenomenal for them to even see, thats why they say Radharani is the greatest devotee because she has the deepest love and ecstasy. You Know. OK.
Meena: Lord Chaitanya is the shelter of the demigods. The goal of the Upanishads. The be all and end all of the great sages. The beautiful shelter of his devotees. And the essence of Love for the lotus-eyed Gopis. Will he again be the object of my vision? Lord Krishna desired to taste the limitless nectarian mellows of the love of one of his multitude of loving damsels Sri Radha. So he has assumed the form of Lord Chaitanya, he has tasted that love while hiding his own dark complexion with her effulgent yellow colour. May that Lord Chaitanya confirm upon us his Grace.
GH; Mnhm You know there is something I would like to share here too. If a person attains the devotional potency, Um its very much they are very much like Krishna, and if they are in the mood of Vraja, you're gonna see two things; You're gonna see a devotee of Vraja who is almost like feminine, because of love you know, they have this kind of devotional quality, very soft. Its kind of like a woman thing you know, woman are very beautiful and very attractive and they like to look at themselves, you know stuff like that (laughing). They always want to be adored you know its a woman thing so where does all that come from? Well Vrndavan in its purified state. See and there's gonna be that masculine quality. Just like very similar Lord Chaitanya, he had both, the devotees are like that they have this Love that makes them very creative you know, creative inspired, they write poetry, they sing songs, they do all of these things. This is the sign of a devotee but they also have the masculine quality too. Much like Lord Chaitanya he was oscillating back and forth, until he started to go more into that, the Radha Bhava and just really relishing and almost totally like that. Yeah so, I didn't, it's amazing as you are reading all these kind of realisations are coming.
Meena: To accept ecstatic Love is the main reason he appeared and he reestablished the religious system for this age. I shall now explain that reason, everyone please listen.
GH: Yeah, before you go on this is a very interesting point. To accept ecstatic love is the main reason of his descent. See actually that is a very coded thing. So the book when the devotee is on the platform of this loving devotional service, see Krishna is in his heart but Krishna wakes up when one is doing devotional service, like hearing, chanting, remembering so the scripture is very important, see it wakes the devotees love up. Either you meet the devotee in the body, or you meet them in the scriptures, that kind of advanced devotee. The neophytes on the Vaidi Bhakti level is another thing, because thats why the Acharyas they write for the neophytes really, here follow these rules and alot of basic things because that inspires those kind of persons they are used to to, just give me a order or an instruction. Like society is like that you know they just put a law and they just obey, obey authority. Well its the same thing on the scriptures, people are used to obeying, the scriptures are there just obey this, OK I can relate to that. And some who are pious will do that, they will obey the laws of God coming through the sages. Just like Moses, he was inspired to give the Law, he wasn't inspired, God says they are only qualified for the law they are having sex with their mothers and doing all these strange things and lying and killing, so give them the law thats all they can deal with. And later on the Lord inspired Jesus, and gave the Love of God, or the teachings that lead to that. The Lord through Prabhupada said lay down the law for these Hippies man, you know? You gotta give them this stuff they are smoking and drinking and wanton sex everytime, you know, give them a good restriction. And then the Lord will inspire the next phase, I think this is it.

Lord Krishna took the sentiment of Radha, see the sentiment and the complexion, sentiment is that Love and that Love is so pure, so it's both purity and sentiment see the sentiment of that Love you know his colour became like Golden, this kind of love is so pure, even though its even in this. It shows that the person loves the person so much even though they're married that they will even step over the bounds of even marriage to be with God, which is the greatest, The Lord says look they are giving up everything even chastity like a worldly marriage even or any kind of thing, just to be with me he loves me so much. So her love in that sentiment is there, it had to be for him to taste the extent of the sweetness of Krishna. The more love a person has for God means how much is revealed to that devotee, how much is he forgiven how pure their heart is. Jesus sees this he says daughter, oh he says to the Pharisees first something about its by the strength of her love that all these sins are forgiven. See those that love most, most is forgiven. I always loved that scene because it reminds me of Vrndavana, I didn't know that until Krishna showed me. I always wondered why I loved that thing! And any devotee knows that, and if you don't know that consciously now but you will hear this its the devotee meeting Krishna see and as that develops into taste and a deeper taste into ecstasy and love you see how neccesary it is for both, to relish the mellows of Rasa. This is what the Lord wants to give, he wants everybody to accept, Raganuga Bhakti this ability to enjoy the highest taste.
Meena: Therefore I shall first delineanate the position of Radha and Krishna for that glory of Lord Chaitanya to be known. Srimati Radhika is the transformation of Krishnas Love, she is his internal energy called Ladini. That Ladini energy gives Krishna pleasure and nourishes his devotees.
GH: You see, thats the personified form is this love, that gives Krishna pleasure without this Ladini without that Ladini aspect Krishna cannot relish. See he needs his devotees so that he can relish. And the devotees they need Krishna so that they can come alive and experience what real happiness is beyond his shadow thing that they are addicted to in this world. This is so that it is a mutual relation of happiness, thats why the Lord always comes to deliver others to this relation. Both are needed, the Lord is in the hearts of everybody and he can't really enjoy happiness until the living entity comes onto this path of tasting his spiritual potency. Learning how to taste it, learning that, this is what we are teaching kind of this Bhakti Yoga how to taste Krishnas association. And make him happy and then you are happy automatically. Sorry..

GH: No, you know, by the way You gotta you know these verses are so deep so if something comes you really got to talk you gotta really understand these things. See alot of people are just going for this one energy this eternality see thats the path of liberation, let me become one with God and become immortal, see they just want that. But devotional service it gets you into the combination of experiencing the full nature of God, see thats the Ladini is awakened by the association of devotees. So that awakens ultimately if you follow the path of vaidi Bhakti and you associate increasingly and more with devotees who are more elevated to the point where this love awakens, see this love awakens now you can relish you can pick up the Bhagavad Gita you can see the deeper purport and all of this. And just by relishing liberation follows see you are going in the front door and not in the back door. Cause if you go into liberation it takes a long time, and then you gotta meet a Vaisnava to find out what is beyond liberation. So you can just cut all that out, just do what they call trim the fat and just go right to the cheese, go right to the essence. The door is the door, by getting association with the devotee, our love awakens then we have the ability to taste the valuable jewels in the scriptures and this liberation is automatic just from the taste. You won't feel like, No boredom, no pain, all this misery all this stuff is gone. Miracles start happening in your life gradually when you get deep strong taste and everything...

Meena: 'There is a great increase.. ..in mellow of the unwented conjugal mood, such love is found nowhere but in Vraja. This mood is unbounded in the Damsels of Vraja, but among them it finds it's perfection through Sri Radha. Her pure mature love surpasses that of all others, her love is the cause of Krishna tasting the sweetness of the conjugal relationship. Therefore Lord Gauranga, who is Sri Hari himself, accepted the sentiments of Radha, and thus forfilled his own desires.'
GH: You know, this is a very deep thing. This is one of the realisations that were coming, it's like see Radha is the cause of Krishna tasting that Rasa so we see the Lila externally manifest, yet Krishna, to taste that Rasa, actually internally has to have a qualified devotee to do it. Because if the devotees not interested in that Rasa then Krishna cannot taste it. Because where is Krishna and Radharani? In the heart, just like in everybody else. So for Krishna to find such a perfect place and receptacle, is Radharani, because he tastes that Rasa in her heart. See, also externally too but if he doesn't have a qualified person who has that desire to worship him like that in the conjugal mellow, in its most mature stage, he's out he's out of it see he needs a qualified person and Radharani is the most qualified. So he tastes it both places, one is in the heart, and one is in the Lila which he shows externally. So you see how qualified that person has to have to give Krishna pleasure? In the heart of the devotee like this see that's you know she, its very qualified, and the strength of her love you know that she is able to, her particular love is conjugal in it's most mature phase. So that's why she is considered the best devotee, she gives Krishna the most pleasure because of her mature level of devotion and love. In her own heart because that's where she resides you know he is tasting it there to. ...Just wanted to throw that out.
Meena: Krishnadas says that this love is unbounded in the damsels of Vraja, but among them it finds its perfection in Sri Radha. So they all have that mood.
GH: Yeah they have that mood but it is mature in her. Thats why her love is mature in the sense that, the ecstatic symptoms and everything is like, they are not showing that kind of ecstacy on the other gopis. Just like on Ramananda Roy and Swarupa Damodara couldn't exhibit the ecstasy of Lord Chaitanya. Because it was like Radharani was right there. It was phenomenal for them to even see, thats why they say Radharani is the greatest devotee because she has the deepest love and ecstasy. You Know. OK.
Meena: Lord Chaitanya is the shelter of the demigods. The goal of the Upanishads. The be all and end all of the great sages. The beautiful shelter of his devotees. And the essence of Love for the lotus-eyed Gopis. Will he again be the object of my vision? Lord Krishna desired to taste the limitless nectarian mellows of the love of one of his multitude of loving damsels Sri Radha. So he has assumed the form of Lord Chaitanya, he has tasted that love while hiding his own dark complexion with her effulgent yellow colour. May that Lord Chaitanya confirm upon us his Grace.

If a person attains the devotional potency, Um its very much they are very much like Krishna, and if they are in the mood of Vraja, you're gonna see two things; You're gonna see a devotee of Vraja who is almost like feminine, because of love you know, they have this kind of devotional quality, very soft. Its kind of like a woman thing you know, woman are very beautiful and very attractive and they like to look at themselves, you know stuff like that (laughing). They always want to be adored you know its a woman thing so where does all that come from? Well Vrndavan in its purified state. See and there's gonna be that masculine quality. Just like very similar Lord Chaitanya, he had both, the devotees are like that they have this Love that makes them very creative you know, creative inspired, they write poetry, they sing songs, they do all of these things. This is the sign of a devotee but they also have the masculine quality too. Much like Lord Chaitanya he was oscillating back and forth, until he started to go more into that, the Radha Bhava and just really relishing and almost totally like that. This is so that it is a mutual relation of happiness, thats why the Lord always comes to deliver others to this relation. Both are needed, the Lord is in the hearts of everybody and he can't really enjoy happiness until the living entity comes onto this path of tasting his spiritual potency. Learning how to taste it, learning that, this is what we are teaching kind of this Bhakti Yoga how to taste Krishnas association. And make him happy and then you are happy automatically. Sorry..

GH: No, you know, by the way You gotta you know these verses are so deep so if something comes you really got to talk you gotta really understand these things. See alot of people are just going for this one energy this eternality see thats the path of liberation, let me become one with God and become immortal, see they just want that. But devotional service it gets you into the combination of experiencing the full nature of God, see thats the Ladini is awakened by the association of devotees. So that awakens ultimately if you follow the path of vaidi Bhakti and you associate increasingly and more with devotees who are more elevated to the point where this love awakens, see this love awakens now you can relish you can pick up the Bhagavad Gita you can see the deeper purport and all of this. And just by relishing liberation follows see you are going in the front door and not in the back door. Cause if you go into liberation it takes a long time, and then you gotta meet a Vaisnava to find out what is beyond liberation. So you can just cut all that out, just do what they call trim the fat and just go right to the cheese, go right to the essence. The door is the door, by getting association with the devotee, our love awakens then we have the ability to taste the valuable jewels in the scriptures and this liberation is automatic just from the taste. You won't feel like, No boredom, no pain, all this misery all this stuff is gone. Miracles start happening in your life gradually when you get deep strong taste and everything...

GauraHari: I was thinking we should start out with a new teaching today, I mean come on we shouldn't be bored with the same old teachings. So I think now is the time we have to institute a new procedure here that it's time now to find fault with the devotees. It's time to become fault-finders because this is the higher level of teaching this time, I hope everyone will agree with this. (laughter)

GH: We'll start out with the Acharyas who this wild Acharya Prabhodananda Saraswate who found fault with those who were following the spiritual path and probably devotees too, Vaishnavas. Its called the chapter 'Criticism of those who are not devotees of Lord Chaitanya'. (Laughter) See I cracked a good joke today, it was nice huh? Suprising. OK so he starts out 'My mind thinks that a person who has countless pious credits, and has completely taken shelter of Lord Hari, but who does not worship Lord Chaitanya is very poor and unfortunate'. You know I'm seeing that more and more now, it's why I chose this chapter especially on facebook I put that little thing out there - devotees even! You know they believe in Krishna but they don't really know Lord Chaitanya and the grace he has given and they almost have a little faith in the moralistic philosophies, faith in austerities, faith in other paths and you know Prabhodananda doesn't preach like that and you know anybody that gets a little glimpse of the mercy of Lord Chaitanya also you can totally understand why he was preaching like this. And I think devotees here are starting to see that also the mercy is so astounding and still readily available, of course you usually gotta find somebody who has a little attachment for Lord Chaitanya that help alot. (laughter) You know? Otherwise people are into Peace, into more Austerity and other paths. One person was 'Its so hard to let go', its so hard to let go and what was it? Gain something. Really its a, everybody if they want to make it out of this path of very difficult austerities and thinking that you have to give up first before you can get anything, you know, you have to get this -

GH: Well how would you explain the way to Nityananda practically in these days?
Meena: Nityananda's reaching out to others, even at the expense of getting maybe attack or especially being misunderstood.
GH: Mhm, how is he reaching out?
Meena: Well remembering the pastime Jagai and Madai, asking them to chant and surrender, glorifying Lord Chaitanya and um..
GH: Yeah you see, the thing is, why are the devotees, if Nityananda's reaching out then why are the devotees, I mean well some devotees may be, but why in general, why was there confusion when Prabhupada left? Why is there confusion now, why are devotees going to lesser paths. why are devotees teaching the way they are doing? Why are devotees jumping to Manjari Bhava when they don't even know much about Lord Chaitanya?
Meena: Well, Why didn't devotees get enthusiastic about distributing Prabhupadas books? Why didn't they get enthusiastic about approaching people about his books and going on street sankirtan? They weren't enthusiastic even when Prabhupada was here to do those things. Alot of the devotees, some were.
GH: They were?
Meena: Some were, they were more attached to maintaining the temple building. and community development within the varnashram kind of situation.
GH: Yeah, well still Nityananda reaches out this is kind of a no brainer once you understand how Nityananda reaches out, he reaches out through his representative and you can see the phenomena. When Nityananda reached out through Bhaktivinode Thakura there was an expansion in the mercy of Krishna consciousness. When he reached out Nityananda reached out through his representative Bhaktivinode Thakura, Bhaktisidanta Saraswate Thakura, there is an expansion in the mercy. Nityananda reached out through A.C.Bhativedanta Prabhupada these are chosen representatives, very very dear to Nitai and Gaura. See, so whenever, and it's not always like a once, this reach out is capturing people in different phases you know like the rocket going up into outer space, it has different stages,a dn then it fires these retro-rockets and it takes to get out. So Nityanandas mercy is going through the representitive and thats the secret and this is what Prabhodananda Saraswate Thakura said unless a devotee of Lord Chaitanya, which is Nitai-Gaura they go together, unless we meet devotees of Lord Chaitanya we will not feel that expansion and often when the devotee departs, there's all kinds of confusion alot of people they're called glow-worms they try to take the place of a genuine representative and they can't cause the same kind of expansion. See its only done by the Lord himself, only Lord Chaitanya can take the place of Lord Chaitanya, through the authorised representatives. It's always that way, and always will be that way. If there's any problems it's just because of lack of an Acharya being here. See, the devotees are very important they cause that expansion and it goes through the devotees of the devotees, Lord Chaitanya works through them, also. See that potency is the same, Bhakti is Bhakti. Prabhupada taught this, if a Godbrother is seen to have the symptoms of our guru he should be treated as with almost as much respect as our own guru, because Bhakti is Bhakti. And that protects one from falling into the Vaishnava Aparad. Which is what kills Bhakti every time. Its why its not easy you know, you have to really truly become non-envious. See this is our, see this is really the path, beautiful path. Wonderful and its here, and boy isn't it a narrow gate huh Mahavirya? (laughter) you think Jesus was preaching a narrow gate this is really narrow. (laughter)
MV: It's simultaneously the narrowist, and the widest.
GH: I swear it man, you are a mind-reader. I was just thinking that and you beat me to it. That guys getting really quick he's getting quicker than me, he used to be really slow. Now he's like lightning.
MV: Because the key is really this (Sanskrit) , is having ones eyes anointed with the pulp of love. Then there's no problem, there's no more problem, this material world becomes like the water contained in the hoof print of a calf. Because material nature you know, like the devotee's like a kitten in the mouth of the cat, material nature. Even prakriti is very gentle with the devotee because he sees Krishna, ah its a shadow but whose shadow is it its Radharani's shadow, so wonderful you know. It is a divine energy of the Lord, so there's no devotee whose against so many thing. When you're against something, you magnify it. It's a very basic principle all the new age people know that. You know, don't be against war, be for peace. So be for love of God, not to renounce this and that that would impair that.. anyway I'm a little bit crazy at the moment.
GH: Hey I love it man. I got this crazy idea this morning because I was looking at all these pictures I snapped because I like to look at them again and again. And I was thinking what can I do with all these pictures, because it looks like the guy is completely drunk and intoxicated with the mood you know is it possible to use these and I said oh yeah, show what spiritual intoxication is, we actually teach what does spiritual intoxication look like and we just put all these pictures up there and now we have some use for them. Because people don't know and they'll probably never see for their whole life unless we put them out. Make more drunkards out there. See thats another quality, Meena, of Nityananda, he has the power to make drunkards make people crazy like that see a little bit strange so if Nityanandas potency is here we'll see those symptoms.

GH: Yeah the honey represents the glories of the Lord they are very intoxicating, see, but there is no more karma and instead of feeling more dense and more foolish and stupid, you become foolish to the world maybe, but you become more intelligent than the greatest scholar in the universe actaully, it's like Shiva you see him beating that drum and dancing madly. He's the most intelliegent being in the world, in the whole universe actually.
MV: I can't believe that I was just thinking that, the vaidi Bhakti's, they are singing every day to the spiritual master (prayers to spiritual master in Sanskrit) the mind of the spiritual master is always absorbed in the Rasa, glorifying Lord Chaitanya! Chanting! Dancing... I mean whats keeping you up guys? This is the path.
GH: Yeah what is it? Anyway we have our little work cut out for us here. So, next criticism of the world. See I love criticism see you can't give up criticism, you have to utilise it in Krishna's service. So that's really it, so see even this we have to dovetail.
